Make sure the heart rate monitor is switched on. my Garmin VivoSmart 3 will not record my “fall asleep” time. Last night my Vivoactive 3 showed I did not go to sleep until 3 am when in VivoActive 4s heart rate stopped working. 5887094 over 1 year ago. My Vivoactive 4s' heart rate stopped working after an auto update. I tried to turn off and on again. My husband even tried to reset it and connected to his garmin profile the result is the same. I tried to switch off then on (auto mode) in settings menu then the sensor blinked a It should state always on when you turn your wrist! If my watch isn't faulty then this is very misleading. To set your Garmin Vivoactive 4 or Garmin Venu to monitor oxygen levels all night: 1. Press button B. 2. Scroll to settings ( gear icon). 3. Enter the settings menu and scroll to "wrist heart rate". 4. Scroll to "Pulse Ox" and set to "All I find that I get those from time to time and it’s usually a signal that I’m dehydrated. For me, it alarms if I’m >100 at rest. I can usually resolve it by drinking 20-30 oz of water. Within 15 min I’m back down in the 70s. If that doesn’t solve it, I’d mention it to your doc. Stilliwigs • 3 yr. ago. Oh how interesting! The monitor suddenly stopped working.turned the “watch off and restarted it twicestill nothing. also, the heart rate monitor is rather sporadicsometimes doing the same activity, the heart rate monitor thinks I’m sitting in the easy chair reading, while I am actually hiking a steep incline.not sure I would recommend Garmin Vito active 3 to anyone. When I try to configure my heart rate zones on my watch it is always set to 131 for every zone. When I change it, the other zones get the same heart rate. I can configure them online or in the connect app but there is no way to check if they are correct, and I doubt if the heart rate zones on my watch are the same as the one in the connect app. Same issue. Last night is suddenly went from 27% to dead, recharged it, and now the heart rate is not working, it wont connect to the phone, and the step count is frozen. I just sent mine off to Garmin via RMA. They wanted to figure out what's going on. you might need to do the same. Next, open the Garmin Connect app on your smartphone and select the “Devices” option. Once you’re in the Devices menu, select the “Add Device” option and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process. Once the monitor is paired, you’ll be able to view your heart rate data in the Garmin Connect app. BavDH4r.
